We're a family business. We treat your information the same way we treat our recipe — with care and respect.
My Brother's Onions is a small, family-run food business based on Long Island, New York. We make handcrafted caramelized onion sauce and sell it through local retailers and our online shop at mybrothersonions.com.
This policy explains what personal information we collect when you use our website, how we use it, who helps us handle it, and the choices you have. We keep things simple, and we never sell your information.
We only collect information you choose to give us, plus a small amount your browser stores to make the site work.
We will never sell your information, share it with advertisers, or add you to a marketing list without your permission.
We use a few trusted services to run the site. They only receive what they need to do their job:
Your shopping cart and a record of orders placed on your device are saved in your own browser (local storage), not on our servers, so your cart is still there when you come back. You can clear this at any time by clearing your browser data.
We don't use advertising cookies or retargeting pixels. If we turn on analytics, you'll see a cookie banner first and those tools only load if you say yes. You can change your choice at any time using the cookie settings link in the banner.
We keep contact messages for as long as we need to reply and follow up, and order records for as long as we need them for fulfilment, customer service, and tax and accounting purposes. When we no longer need information, we delete it.
Our site uses a secure (HTTPS) connection, card payments are handled entirely by Square, and access to our order and message records is password-protected and limited to our team. No system is perfect, but we take reasonable care to protect your information.
You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it (unless we need to keep it for an order or a legal reason). You can also ask us to stop contacting you. Just send us a note and we'll take care of it promptly.
Our website is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, please contact us and we'll delete it.
If we change how we handle your information, we'll update this page and the "Last Updated" date at the top.
