An idea. A laugh. A recipe. Some passion & a bit of love. And you have MY BROTHER’S ONIONS. Over a decade ago, it was an eagerness and yearning to replace the basic condiments – the ketchups, mustards, barbecue sauces – and possibly create a fresh homemade topping for our burgers, hotdogs, steaks, chicken, sausage – you name it! A random at-home experimentation ultimately led to the creation of MY BROTHER’S ONIONS.
Well before the thought of a name or even pursuing this as an actual food product for the market, creating and tweaking my own recipe to make onions for my family and friends began as an enjoyable hobby, especially during grilling season. Such a simple vegetable and concept quickly became a delicious and favorite part of our meals. And it soon became a great conversational piece throughout the years.
I take pride in cooking. I take even more pride in cooking for friends and family who gather around the table. And the more I dove into the process of trying to perfect these onions throughout the years, right in my own home kitchen and backyard, the more I realized that the passion I have for making them could possibly lead to the idea of my family and I sharing them with the rest of the world.
As for the name, well… There’s my younger brother and best friend who would jokingly promote the potential brand to our guests, shouting from the kitchen island,
"Have you tried my brother’s onions?... You gotta try my brother’s onions!”
While the name, “My Brother’s Onions” first began to stir up some laughs, it ultimately seemed to be the perfect fit to represent the product. The creation of MY BROTHER’S ONIONS serves not only as a delicious food for us to share with you, but a recipe that represents a passion to cook and our love for food and great company.
